Dlink routers and DNS settings

Some Dlink routers handle Domain Name Service (DNS) wrong, regardless which Internet Service provider you are using.
The problem happens randomly with different Dlink models, including the newer grey and black ones.

The end user will experience slow connection, web browser hesitating and reporting "page can not be found" even for most common sites.

You can read more in detail about this problem by googling "DNS problem with Dlink", but you will find that most of them will recommond this easy workaround:

- since the router cannot find DNS servers, let's tell the computer where they are

- Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Local Area Connection >
right click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and select properties

Leave the top part saying "Obtain IP address automatically"
Change the bottom part to "Use the following DNS server addresses"
and enter the DNS settings like this:

Click OK to everything, restart computer. Do this with all computers attached to your router (home network).
