Sales Reservationist

Front Desk Clerk
Excellent oral, writing, mathematical, computer and people skills required. Previous experience working at a Resort an asset.
For a senior hospitality student or graduate. Requires valid driver's licence and be available to work evenings and weekends.
Conference Services Assistant
Works with our co-ordinator for in-house business and social groups. Must be a senior student with a minimum of two seasons at a resort, hotel or golf club.

Resort Services Porter
This is our best position for learning the overall operation of a hotel or resort as employee works with every department as well as guests. Well organized person capable of heavy lifting to assist Conference, Housekeeping and Catering departments with meeting and food service set-ups and a variety of responsible duties connected with serving guests needs. Includes bell service duties.

Requires good people skills, valid driver's licence, small boat licence and be available to work evenings and weekends.
Housekeeper/Room Attendant
Excellent opportunity to learn about the back of the house. Must have good organizational skills and be in good physical condition for lifting and bending. Work involves most weekends with days off mid-week.
Special Culinary Student Experience
Several openings for bright, enthusiastic culinary students under Executive Chef Trevor Ledlie. From the beginning of May to Labour Day or Thanksgiving. Longer positions available for graduating students.
Rotation in hot food, cold food and pastry preparations plus an introducation to the business management of a well run kitchen. Remuneration varies according to experience.
Jr. Sous Cook
To join kitchen team under Executive Chef at upscale year-round resort on Lake Simcoe near Sutton. Excellent training for ambitious person with min. 3 years culinary experience at a resort /hotel. Varied shifts - days, evenings, weekends and stat holidays.
Kitchen Porter
For dish and pot washing, kitchen clean-up and simple food preparation.
Server
Will train enthusiastic, service-oriented people. Must be physically fit to carry heavy trays and spending long hours on feet. Variety - Banquets, Weddings, BBQ, Cocktail Parties etc. For experienced servers there are opportunities for growth.
Banquet Captain
This is a senior server position with leadership requirements during banquets, weddings, etc. Must have a minimum 2 seasons as server and leadership experience in a work or volunteer position.
Bartender
Bartending work experience required. Bartenders experience a variety of duties: service and host bars, lounge, weddings, banquets, cocktail parties; some light food service.
Requires SmartServe Certificate and valid driver's licence.
Adult Social Program Activities Leader
Plan and execute with adult and teen guests a variety of daytime and evening programs. Requires knowledge of and interest in a variety of such sports as canoeing, kayaking, biking and golf.
Requires a mature senior student in college or university that enjoys socializing with guests. Small boating license preferred.

Children's Program Leaders

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: This program runs from mid-June to Labour Day. (Supplementary employment is available in other resort departments from early May if desired). The program is run with two leaders; additional help is arranged when needed. The program includes pool and beach activities as well as crafts, games, theme days, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) plans and leads a safe, creative and fun program for children 3-10 years old;
(2) lifeguards children while at beach or indoor pool;
(3) supervises and works as a team with other leaders and staff;
(4) greets and communicates with parents, plus similar public relation duties;
(5) budgets, purchases, reports.
SCHEDULE: 5 to 5-1/2 days a week (one day off on weekend).
QUALIFICATIONS: Bronze Cross or higher swim qualification (can recertify after arrival at resort). Minimum 2 seasons of related leadership experience in Day or Residential Camps plus other additional involvement with kids. Current police check available. Must really enjoy watching children develop their social and other skills while having fun.
REMUNERATION: Salaried for Children's Program Leader. Hourly for supplementary May and June work.

Combo Lifeguard/Recreation Activities Leader

This position combines hosting/leading recreation events as well as lifeguarding the outdoor pool. Particularly appealing to those who have had extensive lifeguarding experience but are looking for an opportunity to use other recreational skills. Lifeguarding and leading recreational activities are primarily during late June to Labour Day. Mid May - mid June you will be working in other departments such as gardening and maintenance and being trained in the recreational activities you will be hosting throughout the summer.
Full-time position - requires being available for days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
Schedules are usually 5 days a week.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lifeguard
(1) provides a safe, clean pool program for children and adults (outdoor; indoor in inclement weather);
(2) teaches aquafit, provides some swim coaching plus runs recreational water games;
(3) maintains pool daily (chemicals, vacuuming), working with the pool maintenance supervisor;
(4) acts as host in the pool area;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid NLS certification; with actual pool lifeguarding experience; some aquafit experience as participant or instructor is an asset; warm friendly personality with caring attitude.

Recreation Activities Leader & Host:
Requires a mature person that enjoys socializing with guests of all ages including seniors. Duties include planning and executing with adult and youth guests a variety of daytime and evening programs. Requires knowledge of and interest in a variety of such sports as canoeing, kayaking, biking and golf. Knowledge and interest in activities such as volleyball, basketball, croquet, and bocce an asset. Small boating license preferred.
Groundskeeper/Maintenance
This is a hands on working position for in & outdoor preventative maintenance upkeep and an opportunity to learn areas of trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. Driver’s licence essential.
Gardener's Assistant
Must have experience with flowers and vegetable gardening. Able to work outside in hot weather.
