Do you have packages
without meals? |
|
|
The Briars does
not offer a European
Plan (no meals)
package, but you
may opt for a Modified
American Plan, which
includes breakfast
and dinner only. |
 |
|
Are meals served
from a menu, or
are they buffets? |
|
|
During lunch,
when there is a
buffet lunch, the
menu is still available.
You may also find
dinner buffets on
special occasions
at The Briars. |
| Drinkwaters' Lounge serves meals daily from 11:30am to 9pm. Meals served in Drinkwaters are not included in your package. |
| During July and August, our Summer Dining Room offers breakfast, as well as luncheon barbecue on most Tuesdays and Saturdays. On Wednesday night there is a barbecue and buffet on the Fountain Court Patio. |

What is your dress
code? |
|
|
For dinner, "smart casual" --
no jeans, jogging
suits or shorts
are permitted in
the dining room,
but breakfast and
lunch are casual.
For the Saturday
Dinner-Dance, gentlemen
often wear jackets and
women dress accordingly.
Please note, you
may have a casual
dinner in the Drinkwaters'
Lounge at any time,
but please let us
know in advance. |
 |
|
Where can I smoke
while I am in The
Briars Dining Room? |
|
|
The Briars inside
is smoke-free. A
section of the Fountain
Court Patio outside
the dining rooms
and Drinkwaters'
Lounge is available
for smoking. And,
of course, there
is the out-of-doors-and
lots of it! |
 |
|
Can you look after
vegetarians? |
|
|
We have a selection
of vegetarian items
available at all
times. Please see
the menus. |
 |
|
What meals are included
in my package? |
|
|
Most guests
are on a 3 meals-a-day
package that includes
dinner on the day
of arrival, three
meals daily, and
lunch on the day
of departure. The
weekend package
concludes with lunch
on your departing
day. There is a
"no-lunch" package
available. |
 |
|
Do I need to stay
at The Briars to
eat there? |
|

in our dining rooms
and in Drinkwaters'
Lounge. Reservations
are necessary for
the dining room.
Banquets and parties
of 10 or more should
contact our Catering

|
Can you look after
my food allergy? |
|
|
Most allergies
can be handled on
our regular or vegetarian
menu. In the case
of severe allergies,
(i.e. those resulting
in anaphylactic
shock) please inform
the reservationist
when booking and
confirm with the
dining room host
or hostess on arrival. |
 |
|
Do you have a children's
menu? |
|
|
We have a children's
menu; children may
also choose from
the main menu. Families
with small children
usually sit together
in the Coach House
Dining Room; this
allows both parents
and other guests
a chance to relax.
During the summer,
many children join
the earlier supervised
children's dinner
that is followed
by a variety of
activities. |
