Do you have a honeymoon package?
For these special occasions, we offer deluxe guest rooms with complimentary champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Please inquire about flowers, fruit baskets, and our wine and champagne selections to complete your special stay.
Do you have rooms with a jacuzzi?
We have rooms available with a single whirlpool bathtub.
Do you have rooms with fireplaces?
We have rooms and two-bedroom cottages available with log-burning fireplaces. Each of the newly renovated Lakeside and Boathouse guest rooms has a gas fireplace. In addition, there are fireplaces in many of the inn and lodge living rooms available for guest use.
Do you have rooms with a separate bedroom?
The Briars offers several alternatives to guest rooms with separate bedrooms. We have two bedroom cottages, studio bed-sitting rooms with adjoining rooms, interconnecting guestrooms, and the unique, deluxe Governor Simcoe Suite.
Do your cottages have cooking facilities?
Our cottages do not have cooking facilities because all meals are included. Each cottage does have coffee maker, tea pot and fixings, as well as a small fridge for keeping snacks and drinks.
Where can I smoke while I am at The Briars?
The Briars inside is smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on many guest room patios and balconies. A section of the Fountain Court Patio outside the Dining Room and Drinkwaters' Lounge is available for smoking. And, of course, there is the out-of-doors-and lots of it!
Do you allow pets?
For guest comfort, we do not allow pets at the resort. We can recommend some excellent pet sitting and boarding options nearby.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4pm. Check-out from your room is at noon.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require three weeks notice of cancellation prior to the arrival date. Cancellation after this deadline means a forfeit of your deposit. During the Holiday Season, a six-week cancellation period is in effect. Please confirm details with our reservationist.
Do you offer a one-night package on the weekends?
One night weekend stays are always subject to availability. Please call us for details.
What is your charge for single guest?
Add $50 per day or $300 weekly to the per person daily rate.
Do you have a minimum stay requirement on weekends?
On most weekends, there is a minimum stay requirement.
What are the rates for seniors?
For guests 60+ years of age, there is a reduction of $10 per person, per day (from most rates). For your comfort, some areas of the inn and Manor House are considered "adult only." Separate dining areas and unique children's programs make The Briars a delight for grandparents travelling en famille.

What are your golf rates?

What deposit is required?
To confirm a reservation, a deposit of $100 per person is required for reservations 4 days or less, $200 per person for stays 5 days or longer.
What is the cancellation policy?
In the event of cancellation of all or part of a booking, the deposit will be forfeited unless the resort receives adequate notice as defined below:
bullet 60 days notice of cancellation required if your reservation is part of group over ten people
bullet 42 days notice of cancellation required for bookings between December 23 and January 1
bullet 21 days notice of cancellation required for all other bookings
There will be a $50 administration fee on any refunded deposit.
May I arrive later or depart earlier than your stated dates?
Guests who arrive after their confirmed arrival date, or who depart before their confirmed departure date, will forfeit their deposit unless we are able to sell their accommodation for the full period originally booked.
If I miss a meal can I get a refund for that part of the package?
There is no credit for meals missed during your stay.
If I don't use a part of a package can I receive a refund?
The Briars shall not become liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather, safety issues or any circumstances beyond our control.
Tell me about service charges.
15% is added to the rates and other items charged to your account. Tipping is not necessary as our staff are paid on a bonus system, but guests are welcome to tip for above-normal service.
