Glow Magazine Article
May/June 2006
| "It was a tough job, but somebody
had to do it. Travel writer Anne Dimon
took on the assignment of finding the
most fabulous spas in the country. What
were we looking for? Relaxing retreats
with that little something extra, like
great food, fabulous fitness rooms or
breathtaking views. Just in time for
Mother's Day (hint, hint), we bring you
glow's definitive guide to the best
spas in Canada."

getaway"

WHY WE LOVE IT
Regardless of your ages or interests,
every mother-and-daughter duo will
find activities beyond the spa to
fill those quality-time hours. You
can choose from yoga, lake activities,
golf, tennis, nature trail walks,
badminton, billiards, cross-country
skiing and skating. You can even
borrow a couple of mountain bikes
and head to the nearby town of Sutton,
where lots of quiet little corners
are perfect for having mother daughter
chats.

SIGNATURE
FEATURE
The historic resort perched on the edge
of Lake Simcoe is only an hour's drive
from Toronto. Although it's a full-blown
resort, it still has the cozy feel of
an inn. |
OTHER SERVICES
Intimate and non-intimidating, the spa
offers the usual manicures, pedicures,
facials, massages and body treatments,
but the menu also includes more holistic
therapies, such as chakra balancing,
reiki and shamanic treatments. The solarium-like
indoor pool area is a lovely spot in
which to simply relax. |

extensively on spas worldwide For more
