HOUR OF POWER

    Hour of Power
Each Sunday and Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., we meet in the Cedardale sanctuary to pray.

We continue to pray for the lost in and around our community, for a tremendous, God-driven response to the "Purpose Driven Life" outreach to our family, friends and neighbours, for God's will and direction in the lives of our political leaders, for our Pastor and his family, for our church leadership, for evangelism, for discipleship, for healing in the lives and families of our congregation -- holistic healing -- of mind, soul, body and spirit.

You are welcome.  Come, now is the time to worship ... come, just as you are ...

"We really do need each other." -- Reuben Welch
God is answering our prayers.  It is good and uplifting to be a part of this prayer ministry, as God affirms and increases our faith in His constancy and faithfulness and goodness.

We look forward to your participation.  Please contact Pastor Ken or call [(705) 437-2170] or e-mail our office if you have any questions.

    GETTING HONEST WITH GOD

    The Prayer of Relinquishment

Hannah prayed this way when she begged God to answer the desire of her heart -- a child -- and determined to give that gift back to God as a servant in the Temple (1 Samuel 1:7-14)

    The Prayer of Doubt

Thomas learned he had to believe outside the box (John 20:24-29)

    The Prayer of Weak Faith

"Lord, I believe; help my unbelief" (Mark 9:24, NKJV). How many of us can relate to the father's battle between spiritual strength and weakness (vv. 17-24)

    The Prayer in Anger

When God spared Nineveh from destruction, Jonah's anger flamed high, and he talked through that anger with God (Jonah 4:1-4)

    The Prayer of Deep Disappointment

Elijah proposed the greatest proof of all time of God's power and existence, but when the revival he hoped for didn't come, his intense depression and disappointment led him to pray about those feelings, to great effect with God (1 Kings 19:10-13)

    The Prayer of Healing

Many people today seek healing from God, and often it comes. The story of a lone leper who came to Jesus offers an illustration of how we may approach the subject of healing with God (Matthew 8:1-3)

    The Prayer of Intimacy

The disciples so wanted to know Jesus that they even wanted to know where He was staying -- where they could find Him (John 1:35-39)

    The Prayer with Boldness

God answered yes to Abraham's plea for Sodom. But Abraham had the courage, the audacity -- and maybe even the wisdom -- to push for a little more ... and then a little more (Genesis 18:20-33)

    The Arguing of Persuasive Prayer

Moses faced perhaps the most difficult situation of all: talking God out of destroying Israel when they sinned by worshiping the golden calf. His persuasive prayer shows us the real power of prayer (Exodus 32:7-14)
