NEWS AT CEDARDALE If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. -- 2 Chronicles 7:14
GREATER LOVE ...Our focus continues to centre on prayer in Scripture and through application in our daily lives. As we have embarked on this new year, we encourage you to consider your own personal role, as we examine the life of Cedardale Church as a House of Prayer ... just imagine what God can do with a church totally dependent upon Him! Join us as we continue to develop Cedardale as a prayer-saturated church! Pastor Ken began 2007 [Jan-7th] with a renewal of our Covenant life in Jesus Christ, concluding with the Sacrament of Communion. Please visit our Winter Message Series page for information on each Sunday. During His years of ministry, Jesus called His disciples to follow Him. He called them, and through God's word, He calls us. He calls us to join Him in His work. He calls us to prayer. He calls us to serve others. He calls us to heal and be healed. He calls us to show compassion, and to the ministry of reconciliation. He calls us to imitate His demonstrated humility. He has commissioned us to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" (Mark 16:15), to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19) Please join us as we continue to witness the passion of Jesus for His purpose here on earth. He came to die, that we might live. What is His mission in your life? What on earth are you here for? Learn more of God's eternal purpose for you through Pastor Ken's teaching this month. Sunday and Wednesday evenings are set aside primarily as a time for us to come together as a church, as the church of Jesus Christ, as the body of believers, to seek God's face and to pray. We are praying in expectation that God will "hear from heaven" and will continue to respond to our praise, thanksgiving, petitions and intercession. Our prayer is that lives will be transformed for the glory of God in our community, our region, province, Country ... the world! The disciples came to Him and asked, "Why do You speak to the people in parables?" He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him." -- Matthew 13:10-12 We have been learning to understand about relationships in recent months ... our relationship with God, and our relationship with others. Relationship involves responsibility, and responsibility gives us the privilege of request. God will meet our daily needs. He will forgive us. He will guide us and protect us as we obey Him.
Faith is believing the word of God and acting on it, no matter how you feel, because God promises a good result -- Pastor James Macdonald, Harvest Bible Chapel, Rolling Meadows, IL
