My father had a great passion for animals, but above all the various dogs that made their home here, of which "Pal" was his favourite.
I believe that this photograph was taken when he was in his 20s. It was taken in front of the farm house, looking out onto the orchard, toward the road. It shows a robust fellow, with just a hint of a 'devil may care' attitude that remained with him for most of his life.
