James Burnie*
1. James Burnie (see photo) was born in 1821 (Ireland?), and died February 16, 1906 in Georgina. He married Mary Ann Lowrey January 6, in Orillia.
Notes for James Burnie: The 1870 Collector's Roll for Georgina Township shows that James lived on the 6th Concession (as of 1861). In addition, he was the owner and operator of the Morning Glory Inn (on the site of the present day Mornig Glory Public School). The 1863 Assessment Roll lists James.
Notes on Mary Ann Lowrey: Death Registration #1909-05-033085. Mary Ann bought the farmhouse on the SE corner of Weir Sideroad and Morning Glory Road, where she died of cancer in 1909. However, her burial site in unknown.
